Cosmic Gate – Wake your Mind SA Tour 2013

We’ve been lucky in South Africa over the last few years to have some amazing acts grace our shores on a continuous basis. One such duo is the German trance team of Bossi and Nic Chagall, better known as Cosmic Gate. Having thrilled us last year with their sounds and mixes, they’re back this year along with special guests Ørjan Nilsen and Emma Hewitt.

It’s countdown time! In less then 9 days the “Wake Your Mind South Africa Tour” will hit Cape  Town (8 February) and Johannesburg (9 February). Set to play a solid 3 hour set, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be there.

Having met out of pure chance in a record label office, the duo have proved to be one of electronic dance music’s most successful and most enduring partnerships creating a perfect in-studio/behind-the-decks storm. Ten years into their career they became the highest-climbers on DJ Mag’s 2009 Top 100 chart, appeared in DJ Mag’s list of Top 100 spinners for eight consecutive years and landed amongst the biggest DJs in the world.

This tour will also see Ørjan Nilsen on the line up for his first ever SA performance. This Norwegian prodigy has been collaborating with major names such as Armin van Buuren and Leon Boiler, and in 2012 received a nomination for an International Dance Music Award for Best Break-Through DJ confirmed by his tremendous rise to #32 in the DJ Mag Top 100.  His catchy melodies and chunky energetic tracks have seen him steadily grow into a world phenomenon.

Joburg Line-up includes – Cosmic Gate (3hr set), Orjan Nilsen, Emma Hewitt, DJ Fresh, Pascal & Pearce, James Damian and DJ Zaxx.

Cape Town Line-up includes – Cosmic Gate (3hr set), Orjan Nilsen, Emma Hewitt, Jason 47, Scott Small and EBI K.
